Golden Visa Portugal

Introduction

The International Sharing School first opened in September 1980, in Madeira Island, Portugal and in 2018 the ISS campus in Oeiras, Lisbon started operations. Located in the Algarve, Bright International School joined the group in 2023.

As a group of International Schools offering the International Baccalaureate as well as the Cambridge International programes, its students follow dynamic and challenging curriculums, taught by passionate teachers dedicated to building a better world.

1980

In 1980 the school was founded as the British School of Madeira in Funchal to nurture the education needs of children of English residents living in Madeira.

Given the sharp increase in interest in international education in Madeira Island, the school felt the need to move to better and larger facilities as well as implement the IB educational program and started using the new name – International Sharing School.

ISS Madeira offers the IB Programmes: Primary Years Programme (ages 3-10), Middle Years Programme (ages 11-16), and Diploma Programme (ages 17-18)

2018

In 2018, a new project was incorporated in Taguspark Oeiras, Lisbon, after celebrating 38 years of the International Sharing School – Madeira.

This state of the art campus is located in Taguspark, a science and technology park in Oeiras Valley, Lisbon. The school – formerly called Colégio Taguspark (an all-Portuguese school) – has switched to an international curriculum based on the International Baccalaureate-IB curriculum and Sharing School’s very own Pedagogical Framework.

ISS – Taguspark offers all three complete IB Programmes: Primary Years Programme (ages 3-10), Middle Years Programme (ages 11-16), and Diploma Programme (ages 17-18).

2023

In 2023, the group expanded its operations to the Algarve to address the market’s need for international education in the developing area of the Algarve.

The school is located inside Algarve’s Golden Triangle surrounded by many high-income areas with numerous international families, such as Almancil, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura and Quarteira.

BIS – Algarve offers the Cabridge Programmes: Early Years (ages 3-4), Primary (ages 5-10) and Lower Secondary (ages 11-14).

ISS Madeira

Location

International Sharing School – Madeira will move from its current facilities to the recently acquired historical building “Seminário da Encarnação”, in which a flagship Campus will be built. The full renovation of the building and its outdoor areas is scheduled to take place until the summer of 2024, in time for an opening in September 2024.
